This chocolate and ricotta cake is an exquisite dessert that's highly recommended for all chocolate lovers: once tasted, you can't do without it, and no other chocolate cake will ever be the same again. What makes this cake so special is its soft, light crumb, which is so moist it literally melts in the mouth, plus the intense dark chocolate flavour, truly surprising because it's made using cocoa powder rather than melted chocolate.
More than six years later (the original article was in November 2013), I've gone back to what I believe is the best chocolate cake I've ever tasted, as well as being one of your favourites (the Facebook photo album is full of examples). I haven't changed a thing in the original recipe, which was inspired by a cake made in an old episode of Parodi; but I thought I'd make a video too and, while I was there, to change the photo, which was somewhat dated
